We Need Your Help!

Attention: Veterans, their Families and Patriots!

Post 191 is working on building our own building. To date we are sharing a building with the V.F.W. in Lambertville, Michigan. We are asking for other post's, and individual donators to help us accomplish our goals by 2008/2009. A five (5) acre piece of land in Ottawa Lake, Michigan has been gifted to us for this task. On this five (5) acres we intend to have The Elliott R. Smith #191 American Legion Post, eventually a small store, a camp site for veterans and their families, and a two (2) acre quarry for fishing and swimming. We would like to add a memorial park. The memorial park,will be a tribute to all the military men and women who have served our country. To create a comfortable veterans recreational site is a huge undertaking.
